Menopause Self Care: A Somatic & Shamanic Approach
Menopause invites us to pause, to reflect, to let go and trust in the deep bodied wisdom of slow, sensual transformation. Bring consciousness and compassion to your menopause journey. Foster a deeper relationship with your self and support your growth and transformation through this powerful rite of passage. In this workshop I will share simple self care methods using somatic and shamanic approaches for rest, rejuvenation and restoration.
We will explore the role of hormones in a theoretical and embodied way. You will gain a deeper understanding of what and how these hormones communicate, fluctuate and live in your body. Awareness, self touch, and movement can activate the support of your endocrine system providing deep bodied nourishment. Similarly we will explore cellular awareness, and how you can cultivate a deeper and more restful relationship to your own living cells. You will be practice touching and and connecting to the sponginess, aliveness and intelligence of your bones, which stimulates your vitality and that bone deep nourishment.
There will be time for sharing, reflection and listening as we navigate this powerful and sacred rite of passage through a shamanic and somatic lens. We will co create our sacred container, and sit in sacred circle. You will experience the healing properties of shamanic drumming to ground and calm your nervous system and your whole body.

Sarah holds a sacred space to explore the deep emotions and elements that come with this powerful yet challenging time of our lives. Her wisdom through exploration of movemwnt, sharing of knowledge of the systems and functions of the body, down to its cellular structures amd how this impacts our journey as women through this rites of passage of life is such a support and education. It is also a gift to sit in circle with other women at this time of life.
