Hello, I am Sarah Miller.

I created this work out of a deep desire to be more embodied, present and connected to myself and to the world at large.

I am deeply curious and passionate about living in ways which support and nourish ourselves and the wider world, the human and more than human communities we are interdependent upon.

Journey with me to realise your inherent creativity, cyclicity and wisdom.

Embodiments Dance Drum Circle is a sacred and safe space for you to come home to yourself, your living loving body and the body of the earth. I created Embodiments Dance in 2010, as a somatic movement, drumming and sacred women circle space for women and gender diverse people to explore and enrich their relationships with their moving bodies, cyclical wisdom, the Feminine and the earth.

You are welcome here.
You have a seat in the circle.

I am a menstrual, menopause and movement educator. I help women birth sacred frame drums and reweave their birth stories and the stories of the rites of passage to create meaningful change in their lives.

Your menstrual cycle and your life cycle are a way in to a deeper, richer and more nourishing way of being in the world. You can tap into the wisdom of the earth, the power of vitality, of growth and of deep rest.

Movement and Dance is an essential part of my life. I dance daily for fun, for connection and Joy. I am a student of the Somatic Movement Educator Practitioner Certification (BMC®) program, and have studied somatic practices for most of my life.

As well as running dance classes, cyclical wisdom and drum making workshops I also co-teach a year- long program, the Four Seasons Journey for the School of Shamanic Womancraft.  This program offers contemplative practices for women to explore, map and ritualise the stories of their rites of passages including birth, menarche, birthing and menopause. It includes a Nine day Wilderness Solo/Vision Quest immersion and deep nature connection.

The Storyteller Martin Shaw says:
“We have fallen out of a very ancient love affair – a kind of dream tangle, with the earth itself.  If, through our own mess, that relationship is about to end, then we need to scatter as much beauty around us as we possibly can, to send a voice, to attempt some kind of repair.”;

My work including the new Story Telling by the Fire group is our way of scattering beauty, of sending a voice and attempting repair.

Giving Voice to Menopause

I am incredibly proud of the beautiful short film, Giving Voice to Menopause which I co-created with the She Listens team, Libby Chow and Vanessa Chapple in 2020. She listens was born out of a desire to create opportunities for the diverse stories of women and gender diverse folk’s menopausal experience to be shared and heard.

WorkCycle

In 2022 I launched the WorkCycle program with my co-founders Jane Bennett, Libby Chow and Vanessa Chapple. WorkCycle offers three valuable programs for menstrual and menopausal wellbeing in the workplace.
