Sarah recognises and celebrates that she  live on the lands of the Boonwurrung and Bunerong peoples of the Kulin Nation. She acknowledges the ancestors of these lands. Sarah has spent her life walking the shores of the Naarm (Port Philip) and Warn Marrin (Western Port Bay). She is committed to deep listening (nyernila)  and to learn more about and from First Nations people especially from those on whose Land she works, lives and plays.

She is also grateful for the teaching of Lionel Launch through his walks on BoonWurrung lands and recommends Living Culture programs to participants who work with her on the peninsula.  She is deeply interested in First Nations stories and story telling and supports the wonderful film makers, theatre makers, writers and story tellers. Sarah has chosen to support Ilbijerri Theatre Company and is a member of the War Rak supporter Program

Decolonising the mind is an ongoing process and Sarah is personally invested in this and engages in many programs, workshops and reading to support this. In 2022 Sarah participated in the Initiatives of Change program, Turruk- Truth Telling and Deep Listening, and in 2023 followed this up with participation in the Walking Together to support the Uluru Statement of the Heart. She continues to attend to the work of decolonising her mind, and to engaging in learning. Sarah is also involved with Evolve Communities Cultural Awareness Training.

Sarah chooses to spend 1% of all profit to support First Nations peoples storytelling, art, and products. She acknowledged she lives in unceded lands, and that although there is a treaty and truth telling establishment process in place, there is yet to be a treaty with First Nations people here in Victoria or Australia.  Sarah supports the Voice to Parliament and affirms the necessity of recognising First Nations people in the Constitution.

Substantial discounts are available to First Nations people and refugees.  And please ask for a concession rate if you are experiencing any financial strain and hold an underrepresented identity.
